"The Hospital Window"

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One manwas allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room's only window.

The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back. The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation.

And every afternoon when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window. The man in the other bed began to live for those one-hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the world outside.

The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake. Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every color of the rainbow. Grand old trees graced the landscape, and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance.

As the man by the window described all this in exquisite detail, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine the picturesque scene.

One warm afternoon the man by the window described a parade passing by. Although the other man couldn't hear the band - he could see it in his mind's eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words. Days and weeks passed.

One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep. She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away. As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone.

Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the world outside. Finally, he would have the joy of seeing it for himself.

He strained to slowly turn to look out the window beside the bed. It faced a blank wall. The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window. The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall.

She said, "Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you."

What is YOUR vision? Are you able to see beyond what the eye can see and the fingers can touch? Can you see as clear as that blind man? Can you see yourself in your success? Can you visualize your pefect day? Do you share your dream with others? Are you as kind as this blind man, in making the life of someone else a little more pleasant? Do you approach life and business with a "Servant's Heart?" Are you willing to serve others?

So much can be learned form the experience described here. I am sure you can think of many others I don't have room to mention here.

What do you think?

"The Mexican Fisherman"

An American businessman was at a pier in a small coastal Mexican village when a small boat with just one fisherman docked. Inside the small boat were several large yellow fin tuna. The American complemented the Mexican on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took to catch them.

The Mexican replied only a little while.

The American then asked why didn't he stay out longer and catch more fish?

The Mexican said he had enough to support his family's immediate needs.

The American then asked, "But what do you do with the rest of your time?"

The Mexican fisherman said, "I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, take siesta with my wife, Maria, stroll into the village each evening where I sip wine, and play guitar with my amigos. I have a full and busy life, senor."

The American scoffed, "I am a Harvard MBA and could help you. You should spend more time fishing and, with the proceeds, buy a bigger boat. With the proceeds from the bigger boat, you could buy several boats, eventually you would have a fleet of fishing boats. Instead of selling your catch to a middleman you would sell directly to the processor, eventually opening your own cannery. You would control the product, processing and distribution.

"You would need to leave this small coastal fishing village and move to Mexico City, then LA, and eventually NYC, where you will run your expanding enterprise."

The Mexican fisherman asked, "But, senor, how long will this all take?"

To which the American replied, "15-20 years."

"But what then, senor?"

The American laughed and said, "That's the best part. When the time is right, you would announce an IPO and sell your company stock to the public and become very rich, you would make millions."

"Millions, senor? Then what?"

The American said, "Then you would retire. Move to a small coastal fishing village where you would sleep late, fish a little, play with your kids, take siesta with your wife, stroll to the village in the evenings where you could sip wine and play your guitar with your amigos."

Makes you think, doesn't it!?!

"Perspectives"

One day a father and his rich family took his young son on a trip to the country with the firm purpose to show him how poor people can be. They spent a day and a night in the farm of a very poor family. When they got back from their trip the father asked his son, "How was the trip?"

"Very good, Dad!"

"Did you see how poor people can be?" the father asked.

"Yeah!"

"And what did you learn?"

The son answered, "I saw that we have a dog at home, and they have four! We have a pool that reaches to the middle of the garden, and they have a creek that has no end! We have imported lamps in the garden, and they have the stars! Our patio reaches to the front yard, and they have a whole horizon!"

When the little boy was finished, his father was speechless.

His son added, "Thanks, Dad, for showing me how poor we are!"

Isn't it true that it all depends on the way you look at things? If you have love, friends, family, health, good humor and a positive attitude toward life, you've got everything! You can't buy any of these things.

You can have all the material possessions you can imagine, provisions for the future, etc., but if you are poor of spirit, you have nothing!

"The Cracked Pot"

A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on the end of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots was perfectly made and never leaked. The other pot had a crack in it and by the time the water bearer reached his master's house it had leaked much of it's water and was only half full.

For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water to his master's house. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do.

After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream. "I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you." "Why?" asked the bearer. "What are you ashamed of?" "I have been able, for these past two years, to deliver only half my load because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your master's house. Because of my flaws, you have to do all of this work, and you don't get full value from your efforts," the pot said.

The water bearer felt sorry for the old cracked pot, and in his compassion he said, "As we return to the master's house, I want you to notice the beautiful flowers along the path."

Indeed, as they went up the hill, the old cracked pot took notice of the sun warming the beautiful wild flowers on the side of the path, and this cheered it some. But at the end of the trail, it still felt bad because it had leaked out half its load, and so again the pot apologized to the bearer for its failure.

The bearer said to the pot, "Did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of your path, but not on the other pot's side? That's because I have always known about your flaw, and I took advantage of it. I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back from the stream, you've watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate my master's table. Without you being just the way you are, he would not have this beauty to grace his house."

Each of us has our own unique flaws. We're all cracked pots. But if we will allow it, God will use our flaws to grace his table. In God's great economy, nothing goes to waste.

Don't be afraid of your flaws. Acknowledge them, and you too can be the cause of beauty.

Know that in our weakness we find our strength.

"The Carpenter's House"

An elderly carpenter was ready to retire. He told his employer-contractorof his plans to leave the house building business and live a more leisurely life with his wife enjoying his extended family.

He would miss the paycheck, but he needed to retire. They could get by.The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor. The carpenter said yes, but in time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end his career.

When the carpenter finished his work and the builder came to inspect the house, the contractor handed the front-door key to the carpenter. "This is your house," he said, "my gift to you."

What a shock! What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently. Now he had to live in the home he had built none too well.

So it is with us. We build our lives in a distracted way, reacting rather than acting, willing to put up less than the best. At important points we do not give the job our best effort. Then with a shock we look at the situation we have created and find that we are now living in the house we have built. If we had realized that we would have done it differently.

Think of yourself as the carpenter. Think about your house. Each day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall. Build wisely. It is the only life you will ever build. Even if you live it for only one day more, that day deserves to be lived graciously and with dignity.

The plaque on the wall says, "Life is a do-it-yourself project." Your life tomorrow will be the result of your attitudes and the choices you make today.

12 Points To Assist You In Answering That Very Important Question:

"Are You A Network Marketing Professional, Or.....Are You An Amateur?"

> A professional Network Marketer learns everything there is to learn about Network Marketing.

An amateur will spend time going around this, at every opportunity.

> A professional Network Marketer is able to discern the needs and wants of his/her team.

An amateur just assumes what his/her team needs and wants.

> A professional Network Marketer looks like a professional, talks like a professional, and dresses like a professional.

An amateur is lackadaisical in these areas.

> A professional Network Marketer is “Laser-Focused” and has a clear understanding of his/her “Why.”

An amateur is not “Laser-Focused,” is distracted, and is not clear on his/her direction.

> A professional Network Marketer learns from mistakes and uses them as stepping stones to a higher level of success.

An amateur will ignore or try and hide his/her mistakes.

> A professional Network Marketer will tackle things that may be difficult – things he/she really don’t like to do.

An amateur will expend a lot of energy just to avoid these things.

> A professional Network Marketer will finish what he starts.

An amateur will just let things pile up, never really finishing anything.

> A professional Network Marketer is always positive and optimistic.

An amateur allows negativity to maintain prominence in his/her life.

> A professional Network Marketer is always ready to assist when problems arise.

An amateur will avoid others who have problems.

> A professional Network Marketer is always cheerful and enthusiastic.

An amateur is usually full of fear, anger, and insecurities.

> A professional Network Marketer never gives up.

An amateur gives up at the first sign of a struggle, or a little adversity.

> A professional over delivers.

An amateur does only what is necessary to survive.

So, which are you?

“Are You A Network Marketing Professional, Or.....Are You An Amateur?”

“The Power of Passion In Leadership”

To fully succeed you must be a Leader, if only a Leader of one person: YOU!

"In all great leaders there is a purpose and intensity which is unmistakable."— L. Ron Hubbard

Remember how former President Reagan had unmistakable seniority when he met with Communist Leaders? Have you noticed how the best speeches of politicians, ministers, actors, and GREAT Network Marketers, always include high-volume intensity? The same applies to the most successful people.

"A man who merely wants to be liked will never be a leader. A broad examination of history shows clearly that men follow those they respect. Respect is a recognition of inspiration, purpose and competence and personal force or power." — L. Ron Hubbard

Passion is a self-generated tool. This tool gives you the ability to motivate yourself, concentrate on your purpose, and get yourself excited about what you do.

Your passionate attitude sets the mood for everyone around you. If you get excited, they get excited. If you are fascinated, they are fascinated. And, because of your passion, your recommendations to others will come from your heart. And, because they come from your heart, they will have greater impact.

Yes! “The Power Of Passion In Leadership” is incredible!

Next time, we will talk about how "You Can Never Be Too Passionate."

“Personal Success In The Fast Lane!”

How quickly can you move the particles in your life or your business? How fast are you? Can you get the momentum going and keep it going?

When you wait, avoid and make excuses, you kill your particle movement! You kill your momentum! You delay, or worse yet, you kill your success!

When you can act on something quickly, without delay, completing tasks at a rapid pace, faster than anyone else, you have POWER! You have “Rapid Particle Movement!” WOW!

For example, high school graduates Lynn and Chris both want to become school teachers.

Lynn says, "I’ve got all those years of school in front of me. I’m taking a year off to ride my bike around Europe, before I start."

Chris says, "I can’t wait to teach! I’m taking classes this summer and will get my degree in three years!"

Who do you think becomes the other’s principal?

Yes! The only way to massive success is in the fast lane, Folks!

So, get with it!

NOW!

Tomorrow I will give you some tips for “Speeding Up Your Success!”

"Success Is In The Fast Lane!"

Your success is not only based on the quality and the amount of your work. It is also based on a speed factor. How fast can you build your business?

"The rapidity of particle flow alone determines power."
--- L. Ron Hubbard

All progress in our society is pretty much based on speed. Isn't that true!?! So, if your particle flow is slow, the rest of the world will pass you by.

Imagine working without a computer, telephone, fax machine, or the Internet! Imagine traveling without a car or an airplane! What would the world be like? What would your life be like?

Imagine being in a world where the telegraph and railroad were considered major improvements!

Yes, the speed of your particle flow determines the power of your business. The faster your business particles move, the more prosperous you and your business will be.

For example: One Network Marketer says, "I have all these GREAT leads to call! I will get started on them this weekend!" You say, "WOW! I have all these GREAT leads to call! I will get started right away!"

Who is going to build their business the fastest? Who will be the one to be successful the quickest?

The answer is obvious, isn't it!?! The one who gets on it right away, and gets the partical flow moving at a rapid pace, is always the one who succeeds first and foremost.

Network Marketers who take forever to make decisions soon realize a BIG loss. Many just end up abandoning their business, altogether, and move on to their next unsuccessful venture.

REMEMBER: Network Marketers who can think and act quickly will have "Success In The Fast Lane!"

Tomorrow we will talk about "Personal Success In The Fast Lane!"

"Five Words for a Full and Prosperous Life"

There are five simple words we need to use to have a prosperous life:

1. YES: Simply say "yes" to your dreams and allow yourself to actively pursue your dreams.

2. NO: Learn to say "no" when you need to say no. Success is being able to set limits about what you "don't" want in your life.

3. OUCH: Allow yourself to feel pain and recognize what is causing your pain. Know that pain is a healthy warning system for you to take some action.

4. NEXT: Fully experience your challenges and accomplishments and have completion with what you start. Know when it is time to move on to your next..........

5. WOW!: Be fully in the present and really experience life — events and people in your lives, achieving goals and having things, enjoying simple pleasures such as good tastes, touches, sights, sounds, smells, etc. Be fully aware of all your blessings! Know that all of life is an experiment, so enjoy the process!

>> Making a few more prospecting calls

Daily progress in a specific direction creates long-term power when the progress is done consistantly and orderly.

If you have been dissatisfied with your progress in life and in your Network Markeing business, and if you feel discouraged, overwhelmed and/or frustrated, make a list of orderly steps you can take every day and every week. Calm, direct, orderly steps.

Once you have your strategy worked out there, is no need to worry about the past or the future—just concentrate on the present; on the steps of your orderly plan. By putting order into your progress, nothing and nobody can stop you!

A mountain creek is more powerful than a granite boulder when the creek slowly and surely wears the boulder down. "Orderly Progress" toward your goals starts with small, positive steps.

You can generate new POWER from today forward. Deciding to have "Orderly Progress" is the first step.
