Focus

It is natural to become highly focused in a moment of extreme desire, frustration or anger. Yet as the emotion of the moment begins to fade, that clear sense of focus can fade along with it. It's easy to become intensely focused momentarily. Those who are able to maintain, and even intensify, a clear and driving focus over the long term can truly achieve great things.

Focus is most effective when it grows stronger as time goes on. To stay focused, and to grow even more focused as the challenges grow more daunting, you must make that focus more than just something you do. You must make it who you are.

Dive into the depth of your character and seek to truly understand who you are. Ask yourself why you desire the things you desire, and keep asking until you have an answer that touches your fundamental, essential self. Forge that solid and irrefutable connection between who you are and what you desire, and the powerful, growing focus you need to achieve your goals will become a part of you.

"Blow Your Troubles Away!"

It isn't enough to sit on the sidelines and hope for things to get better. You've got to ask yourself, "What steps am I going to take to get the things in life I want?"

Achieving great goals takes planning and your life is no different.

Take charge! Make plans to bridge the distance between where you are now and the future you can see so clearly. Define, clarify and implement your plans.

If you need help don't be bashful. Ask someone for it. You will be surprised how willing others are to help you succeed.

Remember, your plan is your path and your guide.

It's unlikely that with a plan like this you'll get lost reaching your goals.

"Off The Beaten Path!"

A History Lesson:

Have a history teacher explain this -- if they can?

Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846.
John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.

Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860.
John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.

Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.

Both wives lost their children while living in the White House.

Both Presidents were shot on a Friday.

Both Presidents were shot in the head.

Now it gets really weird:

Lincoln's secretary was named Kennedy.
Kennedy's Secretary was named Lincoln.

Both were assassinated by Southerners.
Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson.

Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln was born in 1808.
Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.

John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839.
Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born In 1939.

Both assassins were known by their three names.
Both names are composed of fifteen letters.

Now hang on to your seat:

Lincoln was shot at the theater named 'Ford.'
Kennedy was shot in a car called 'Lincoln' made by 'Ford.'

Lincoln was shot in a theater and his assassin ran and hid in a warehouse.

Kennedy was shot from a warehouse and his assassin ran and hid in a theater.

Both Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials.

And here's the kicker:

A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe, Maryland.
A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe.

Creepy huh? What do you think?

"The Most Overlooked Aspect
of Network Marketing"

You found the best Network Marketing company and signed up. You read all the material and got excited about the potential you see in this new career. Your upline sponsor has contacted you and said they would be available to help you out. Life is good. You're on your way!

Now let's fast forward three months. You have no sign ups. You're discouraged. You're feeling overwhelmed. You never seem to have any time to do what it takes to succeed. You're getting ready to drop out. Maybe this Network Marketing stuff just isn't for you.

Sound familiar? We've all been there at one time or another. Network Marketing isn't just about stepping into a new career, it's also about creating a new thought process. That takes time. And it takes commitment.

Lots of people in Network Marketing fail simply because they never mastered the art of time maintenance.

So how can you make sure you don't fall into that category?

1. Schedule time for your business. You MUST sit down and create a work schedule. Simply saying, "I'll work on it sometime this week," is not going to cut it. You have too many distractions, too many other things going on in your life. If you don't make MANDATORY time for your business, it won't happen! Will you have to sacrifice a little? Yes! Will it be worth it in the end? More than you could ever imagine. Take your calendar out NOW and decide when your business hours will be.

2. Don't research yourself out of business. If you spend your whole time researching and learning things about your business, will you ever make any money? While you're getting "book learning," others are out there prospecting, making mistakes and SALES. Don't think you have to know everything before you get started. You will never know everything. Earn WHILE you learn.

3. Create a priority list and follow it. The top activities are the ones that will make you money. Make sure you do those first. Otherwise, you could get lost in filing or researching and never get around to prospecting. Remember, the hardest part is getting started. If you commit to just one email, one phone call a day, you will find it easier and easier to do it again.

4. Try and do one thing a day to improve your business. This could be talking to someone about the opportunity, reading a chapter in a self-help book, creating an email or flier for your business. It doesn't have to be a big, huge task. The key is to be persistent and stay focused on the big picture. And the big picture is that you are on your way to early retirement one small step at a time.

5. Stay organized. You will waste valuable time if you have to hunt for everything. Keep a neat office space and stay on top of the paper work. Little things done right from the very beginning will help you grow faster as your business gains momentum.

6. Stay focused. This business develops over time. Commit to sticking with it for at least a year and you will realize the power behind Network Marketing.

"Building Your Network Without
Building Relationships?"

by Sue Seward

Building your Network Marketing business without building relationships, whether it be on the internet, off the internet, or both, is like building a house without a FOUNDATION! As soon as the first big storm hits, it all washes away and you have to rebuild it again, don't you? This could be quite costly to you, couldn't it?

I found my company in November 1996 from an ad on the Internet. I had just moved to my community four months previous to joining them and had moved from another state about 1,300 miles away. So, consequently, I had no warm market here at that time. I had just bought my computer and was very green to the internet.

I was very interested in Network Marketing because of past experiences and had been studying the industry for quite some time and realized that Network Marketing was the career choice for me.

As far as online marketing goes, though, I never really put the two together until I found my company and the team I joined, which happened to be the Online Marketing Team (they have since changed the name because we have many people working the business offline as well as online).

In the beginning of developing my business I approached people that I was beginning to meet out in my community. I considered this group my "warm" market. Many of them are now my "HOT" market because of the relationships and friendships I've made with them in the last three years we've lived here. I've developed a trust with them. They see me still involved with the same company and are impressed. What I've been saying to them all these years is starting to sink in! It's called the "DRIP" approach. I just constantly drip little bits of information to my friends on a consistent basis. Sooner or later something clicks with them and they ask ME about it.

Most of my business partners, however, have come from Internet marketing. It took me longer to build this way because it is considered a "cold" market. But I have an ability to warm people up by building relationships with them even via the internet! We also happen to have a very duplicatable system online that anyone who chooses to make the commitment and put forth the effort can do.

It took me about a year and a half but because of my consistent efforts, determination, focus and commitment to my company, I am working with some quality people that I have developed relationships with online and have in fact, become friends with.

These folks are now duplicating my business building efforts all over the US and now we are forming a team in ASIA with experienced networkers! These are experienced network marketing professionals that actually contacted me and decided to join in my business.

I started out with placing ads on the Internet and AOL. Lot's of them, everyday. I was very diligent in my efforts. It took a ton of follow-up.

Eventually it comes time to speak with people on the phone to determine if they qualify. Because of our online system, by the time I do speak with someone by phone they are pretty warm.

I have also developed a presence online by becoming a promoter of the Network Marketing industry. I have become a helper and an encourager by giving back to the industry in general. I have gotten involved in MLM forum boards such as this one, and write articles, etc. to promote the industry. Some serious network marketing professionals are contacting me now.

This hasn't been something that has happened overnight. It's because of the relationships I've developed over time.

Building a relationship with your business partners will create strength and long-term stability in your organization. After all you are working to build a long term residual income, an income that you want to last. You do not want to continuously be starting over in your business do you?

I am also out in my warm market constantly talking to people and building more relationships that turn into friendships. I belong to the chamber, to a newcomers club, my local health club, etc. I do health fairs, in home presentations, go to chamber functions, etc. I'm always out there networking.

Does everyone join me in my business? Of course not. But I sure make a lot of friends! It's my life and I enjoy what I do very much. If I can help someone, even those that are not involved with my company, then I have done my job as a Network Marketing Professional.

Is it possible to build a network online? YES it is.... with a good duplicatable system, a strong commitment to succeed, a reputable company, a willingness to follow up and eventually build those relationships for strong stability and long term security.

Should you do this exclusively to build your network? In my honest opinion, NO you should not put all your network marketing eggs into one online marketing basket! You could choose to do this exclusively but it will most likely take more time to develop and sooner or later there will come a time when you will have to talk to people, whether you meet them online or offline!

Network Marketing is a relationship business! It's always been this way and it always will be! The more we try and get away from this the more we take away from what Network Marketing is really all about! It's about people reaching out to other people and helping them to become the BEST they can be!

I wish all of you much success in your Network Marketing career!

The Most Valuable Asset in Marketing!
Do YOU have It?

by Melinda Robb

The single most important attribute for a successful Network Marketer is often lacking, and yet it is the easiest to possess. Do YOU have it?

INTEGRITY - The quality of possessing and steadfastly adhering to high moral principles or professional standards.

Who among us hasn't seen those glaring ads "Join today…make millions", "Make $9000 per month - Free." There are so many of them out there promising a fast buck with no effort, or promising us that we can earn millions overnight. Just hand over your credit card number….

Don't they realize we are real people, trying to get by in a harsh world? We sweat and toil for every penny we earn … and still can't make ends meet. Don't they know we only want to spend more time with our kids, and less time chained to our desk?

Of course they do! How else could they lure us into their scams! We are so eager to change our lives that we will grasp at almost any opportunity - even against our better judgment. I am speaking from experience here.

So we hand over our hard earned money, and wait for the cash to start rolling in … but where is it? Here we are, with no idea where to start - and even worse - with no one to help us.

So, we submit our web pages to a few search engines, place a few ezine ads, and … nothing.

We e-mail our sponsor but he/she doesn't respond … why? Because he/she is in the exact same position as we are … left on our own with no one to guide us or answer our questions. Discouraged, let down, and convinced that all network marketing businesses are frauds!

These programs have fancy web sites, convincing ad copy, flashy banners and extraordinary claims from self-proclaimed "gurus". Even with all of this, they are missing the most essential ingredient - Integrity. Without it, they are worthless.

The good news is, there ARE companies out there that have INTEGRITY, and people who are genuinely interested in helping others achieve their goals. These are the organizations that you want to become aligned with!

Personally, I would rather make $100/month honestly than ten times as much by conning people out of their hard earned incomes. I know what it's like to drag myself out of bed every morning to go to a job that I can't stand; to work for someone I don't like, or even respect.

The most successful online marketers are the ones who lead by example - those who invest their time in the people they recruit. They are available to answer questions, share their experiences, or even admit that they don't have all the answers - but will work with you to solve a problem.

They are rewarded with a team of people who are motivated, loyal and dedicated to building a successful business.

Who would YOU rather work for - the lazy slob that sits in his office all day, or the one who is not afraid to "get in the trenches" with you to get the job done?

You can inspire your recruits to be the kind of leader that they have found in you. You have the power to elevate people to levels of success they have never known. Don't waste it, because your downline will become your greatest resource.

It is something you cannot put a price on!

The irony in all of this, is that once you commit to being honest and sincere, willing to help others, and throwing out that "grab the cash and run" attitude, you will achieve the success that you've been looking for all along! It will just flow naturally, and the most important thing is that you can enjoy that success knowing that it didn't come at someone else's expense.

Hold your head high, and be proud of all you have accomplished!

Don't Ever Give It Up! - Give It TIME!
by Sue Seward

Network Marketing takes time and effort. It's not always a piece of cake! In fact, we've got to start thinking more in terms of it being a marathon and not a sprint!

My husband Clif runs marathons. I know how much time and training it takes for him to be able to do this! He did not just wake up one morning and say "I think I'll go run a marathon next weekend!". He had to train for months and months. He learns something new about himself each time he runs and in the next marathon he improves his time. But he trains for each one!

Network Marketing doesn't happen overnight and you do not get rich in a few short months or even in a year. As professionals it is time to stop the insane hype that seems to abound in our industry because it can be detrimental to all of us!

We have all heard of these huge incomes which have happened for a few. You know the ones you read about in magazines who say they got a check for a bil-zillion dollars in a few short months or they quit their full time job in a few short months. Then these rare few go out and shout about all the money they made so quickly and make everyone think it was so easy!

This just isn't the reality of the industry. We've got to get realistic here. Until people start developing realistic goals, they will continue to frustrate themselves and most will quit Network Marketing when they see that it really doesn't happen in a few short months like they read about or were told!

It took me over a year and a half to really get to know what I was doing and to actually learn what this business is all about.

I'm still learning everyday! I have gotten checks while learning, not huge obscene money, but still a nice check comes in handy every week. I realize that I am underpaid in the beginning but I know what the future holds for me as I stay on the consistent path I'm on, and building leaders is my goal!

First I had to build myself up as a leader so I could teach others. Building leadership within your team is really how you will achieve long term success in Network Marketing. Without doing this you might as well be ready to start all over in a few years.

Ask people, who say they quit their jobs in 6 months or a year to do Network Marketing full time, realistically, how many hours did they have to spend in the beginning to make that kind of money so quickly. And what sort of sacrifices did they have to make?

It might be a lot easier for say a single guy named Joe ON THE GO with no wife, no kids, no house or responsibilities to care for, etc. Joe can concentrate 16 to 18 hours a day on this Network Marketing Business with no one to answer to, no kids to take to ballgames, no diapers to change, no dinner to cook, no house to clean, no homework to help with, no groceries to shop for, no significant other to give attention to, hearing where's my dinner, my shirts, what have you been doing all day? Is there anyone out there that can relate to what I'm saying here?

I am certainly not trying to make excuses for anyone here. What I am saying is that everyone's situation is different. Many people start in Network Marketing part-time. They have to work it around their job or around their very busy LIFE!

Most people have full time jobs and extremely busy lives! I know that I do! But anyone can still do Network Marketing and build up to full time if they really take the little time they DO have and put some concentrated consistent effort into it. They will need to be extremely productive with that valuable precious time they do have!

Some people are simply happy with a part-time income from Network Marketing. Just be realistic about the time frame involved according to your own particular situation and make sure you are sensitive to this fact in other people's lives!

When you decide that you want to change your career and start your own business and choose Network Marketing decide right then and there that you've got to have a 3 to 5 year plan. Or you can adjust that time frame according to your own situation at the time. Maybe you are Joe ON THE GO above and have more time to invest than others might have.

Just think how long people stay in traditional jobs to retirement? 20, 25, 30 years? Then what do they have? And if you start a traditional business it will most likely take you at least 2 to 3 years to break even or maybe even longer.

My husband, Clif and I had this discussion last night. He told me how long it would take him to start making a profit if he were to start his own Land Surveying business. He said at least 4 years and he would have to spend a ton of money to even start his business. If the economy goes so does his business! So there's a lot of risk involved! Not to mention he would have to have an employee or two!

You also have a tremendous amount of overhead in a traditional business usually, depending on what sort of business you start. Start up cost are usually much higher than in starting your Network Marketing business.

In traditional business you still have to work hard, give it daily consistent effort, contact many many people, focus and commit, have desire, develop a PLAN, be organized, manage your time wisely....etc....the same goes for Network Marketing!

Find what many other people want and need. Become passionate about it. Use the products yourself so you will become passionate and enthusiastic about what you are doing! Other people will see this! Walk your talk!

Be patient and stick with it. Be coachable......find a good sponsor and upline support team to work with you, not build it for you. Stayed focused. That means reading everything you can about your company, the industry, and develop yourself personally.

Stay in touch constantly with your upline, downline and crossline. It is extremely crucial that you stay in the loop! There are a lot of negative people out there that would love to bring you down! Trust me!

Hook up with positive like minded people who also have the desire to succeed. Look for successful business minded people in your community. Learn all you can from them and bring them into your business. If this is not for them then ask for referrals.

Can you do this business alone? Yes you could, but it could be much tougher. AND, that would be similar to being in a traditional business wouldn't it?

Remember to always think of the other person first, and ask them questions....take an interest in other people and sincerely try to help them without thinking of the outcome it will bring to you. When you do this people will gravitate towards you.

There are two things that are absolutely crucial to your success in this business:

*Being consistent on a daily basis with your contacts
*Following up in a timely manner

If you are not doing something everyday for your business, you will fall behind slowly. Soon two days will go by, then three days, then four, then all of a sudden you are out! Caput! Finished! QUIT!

So do something EVERYDAY to make a contact either by email, postal mail, phone, or in person. Do whatever you can to make that commitment to do something everyday! This is so important.

How successful you are really depends on how many contacts you actually make but you must remember to:

FOLLOW UP!!!!!!!!

This is where most people drop the ball! I've seen it so many times with people and I admit I have also been guilty of not following up on occasion. It happens to the best of us! Sometimes it becomes very difficult to do it all! So................remember...........

If you cannot follow up in a timely manner go upline or downline and ask someone to follow up with your prospect for you.

This is so crucial!!! I cannot stress this one thing enough. Not following up will kill your business efforts! This is why a TEAM effort if SO invaluable to you!

Can you imagine being a 22 year old and discovering Network Marketing as your niche, finding the right mentor, support team, and giving it 3 to 5 years of consistent efforts and being set for life! I would love to have found this industry when I was 22!

Well no matter how young or old you are you can still benefit from Network Marketing!

Being an optimistic person, I am happy that I found Network Marketing when I did, and just dove in and gave it my all. I am one of the ones who is NOT giving it up, no matter how much time it takes!

Going the Distance
by Tricia Caliguire

The road to success in network marketing is paved with many descriptive words, such as "persistence," "commitment," "faith," "hard work," "timing", and "teamwork." Any and all of these words describe necessary qualities as we travel that road, but one phrase covers them all, and that's "going the distance."

I recently again watched the original Rocky movie, and noted how Rocky's success in boxing is analogous to our success in network marketing. Rocky had no money, no family, no connections, no education, and no real future. Then he was given a shot at the heavyweight championship of the world, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to raise his existence to a level he had only dreamed about.

What did he do then? Did he spar with a couple of boxing partners and decide this wasn't for him? Did he jog a mile for a couple of days and then say his training wasn't working for him? Were there days when he said, "I really don't wanna do this today, I'll just skip my workout"? What would have happened if he had? Would he have reached his goal?

Rocky put hours and hours of effort toward reaching his goal. What was the goal? "I just wanna go the distance," he confided to his girlfriend Adrian the night before the big fight. His goal was to last 15 rounds in the ring and still be standing when the final bell rang, and he did everything he could to reach that goal. He made every effort, made no excuses, and did what it took EVERY DAY to reach the goal. He "did the dailies," and the goal took care of itself, and he did indeed remain standing at the end of 15 rounds.

Network marketing is all about "going the distance." When we start our career, we have a goal in mind and network marketing is the means we've decided on to attain it. But to reach that goal, we have to be willing to do what it takes, to "do the dailies." That means once you've decided on that goal, you need to work closely with your sponsor or upline mentor, as Rocky did with Mickey, his coach. Decide together what you need to do to accomplish this goal. Determine how long it will take to reach it, and then divide the activities you need to perform to get there into yearly, monthly and weekly goals, but most importantly, into DAILY goals. Know that if you make X number of calls, place X number of ads, talk to X number of people EACH day, the law of averages will be on your side and you WILL reach your goal.

Like Rocky, if you do whatever it takes, you'll be able to "go the distance," and the success in network marketing which so many say they want and only a comparative few are willing to work for, will be yours. As Rocky said to his opponent, "Go for it!"

"Network Marketing"
"Let's Lighten The Load A Little!"

You Just Might Be A Network Marketer If...

You refer to your kids as your Downline.

You refer to your spouse as your Upline.

You have a garage full of water filters.

You serve colloidal minerals at all your parties.

You have a wallet full of pre-paid phone cards.

Your trunk is full of "Dead Doctors" tapes.

You think it's ok to ask a perfect stranger if they've reached "momentum" yet.

Your bank account is constantly overdrawn.

You're not really concerned when the FTC starts asking your company's founder a few questions.

You don't see anything wrong with eating capsules of stuff we usually scrape out of our aquariums.

You refer to friends and relatives as your warm market.

You no longer have a warm market.

You store all of your vitamins, herbs, minerals, algae, pyruvate, melatonin and DHEA tablets in Tupperware.

Your Visa card bill reflects monthly charges to some guy named "Big Al."

You believe it's *possible* that the testimonial about the lady's arm growing back is true.

You don't see anything odd about driving a pink car.

You are on a first name basis with the Postman, FedEx Driver, and the UPS driver.

You think a summer vacation in a "tropical rain forest" is a great way to write off the trip as a business expense.

You consider the guy you just hit with your car a potential recruit.

Your company has just been featured on "Inside Edition."

The phrases "right place, right time" and "ground floor" are a regular part of your vocabulary.

You'll argue to the death the merits of 3000-year-old Oriental healing remedies.

You can never make "outside" commitments on a Tuesday or a Thursday night.

You refer to your genealogy report as your accounts receivable.

You don't see anything funny about all those Amway jokes.

"In Network Marketing...Ebooks Are Promotional Powerhouses"

In Network Marketing, and other business venues, ebooks are part of the new frontier of cyberspace. Ebooks are an entirely new medium for sharing marketing information, ideas, techniques, and expert knowledge.

Each day the number of people accessing the Internet grows, causing the exposure of your ebook to increase incrementally. It's obvious why electronic self-publishing has become so popular so quickly.

The publishing industry, I hope, does not intend to forever banish the printed word to the dust bin of history. Books in print have their own special qualities and merits, and the world would be diminished by their disappearance.

Having said that, let's look at what makes ebooks so important and so unique. Ebooks have certain abilities and qualities that other mediums do not possess.

For example, ebooks are fairly easy to produce, and their production cost is inexpensive. Just think about it: You don't need a publisher, an agent, a printing press, offset film, ink, paper, or even a distributor. You just need a great concept, the ability to write it or to hire a writer, and the right software.

Additionally, ebooks are easily and rapidly distributed online. They are also easily updated; they do not require a second print run. All you need is to go into your original creation and modify the text or graphics. Because of this flexibility, ebooks can change and grow as fast as you can type.

Ebooks are immediately obtainable, also. You don't have to go to a bookstore or search through endless titles at an online bookstore. All you have to do is download it from a website, and presto! It's on your computer, ready to be read.

Ebooks can be interactive. This is one of the most unique and specific qualities that ebooks offer. You can add surveys that need to be filled out, order forms for customers to purchase your products, goods, or services. They can include sound and video that draw your reader into the virtual world of your ebook, even direct links to relevant sites that will expand your ebook outward. The potential is virtually limitless.

Ebooks have a particular kind of permanence that other mediums do not possess. Television shows and radio shows air once, and then may rerun a few times. Ebooks remain on your computer for as long as you choose, and they can be read and re-read whenever you choose to.
Ebooks can even be printed out and stored on the shelves of your traditional home library.

Another wonderful quality is that ebooks have no barriers in terms of publishing. You don't need to go through the endless process of submitting your manuscript over and over again, and then once you land an agent, having the agent submit your manuscript over and over again. Nor do you have to shell out thousands of dollars for printing a self-published book. All that ebooks require is a writer and appropriate software. Figure out your market, write your ebook, post it on your website, and with a little business savvy your audience will come to you.

Finally, you have creative control over your ebook. You don't have to compromise with an editor or the publishing trends of the time. You don't have to haggle with a designer or wait for tons of copy-edited paper to arrive by snail mail. You are in complete control of the design and the text.

You can also use ebooks for Marketing and Promotion. There are innumerable ways to use ebooks to promote your Network Marketing business, or any other business, and drive quality traffic to your website.

Once posted on your site, you can turn them into a daily course, which brings your customer back to read the next chapter. You can use them as a free gift for making a purchase, joining your team, or for filling out a survey.

Put your ebook on a disc, and you will have an innovative brochure. Blow your competition away by inserting the disc into your sales packages, or just hand them to your prospect like you would a business card.

The most effective marketing products are those that are unique. Copyright your ebook, and immediately, you have a powerful tool, that you, and you alone, can offer to the public. People will have to visit your site to acquire your ebook, which increases the flow of quality traffic and the potential of sales and affiliate contacts and prospects.

Make sure that you keep your ebook current. Update it frequently as the market and trends change. Add new advice and techniques to show your prospects how your goods, services, or program can enrich their lives.

By constantly keeping abreast of new trends and techniques, you can continue to see profits from your ebook for years after your original creation.

Another phenomenal advantage of ebooks is that you can test their marketing potential without putting out hardly any cash at all. You can even produce an ebook one copy at a time, each time you receive an order, eliminating the need for storage and inventory. By this method, you can gauge the saleablity of your ebook, and make adjustments as necessary until the orders start pouring in.

Ebooks allow you to learn about your market and customer habits and motivation over a period of time, without risking your precious financial resources. They also provide you with an invaluable way to gather marketing information, which you can use in many different facets of your business.

Use your ebook to discover what the specific goals and problems are in your specific industry. Then figure out how to solve these problems, and publish an ebook with this invaluable information. This will increase the value of your business, upgrade your reputation, and get you known as an expert in your field.

You can extend the value of a single ebook by breaking the book down into chapters for a serial course, into special reports available on your website, or into audio or visual tapes.

Ebooks can be broken down into several different promotional materials by taking some of the articles and using them to promote your product, services or program. You can include a catalog in your ebook to promote all your products, services, and offers.

You can include a thank-you note for reading your book and an invitation to download a trial version of another product or service. Or you can include a form for your prospect to contact you for further information, or with questions, thereby building your business relationships and your mailing list.

Using ebooks in this manner helps to cut the cost of individually producing separate promotional materials. You can use a single ebook to entice new prospects and to sell new products and services to your current customers. No other medium has this kind of flexibility and ability for expansion. Think of your ebook like a spider spinning a beautiful and intricate web.

Now go and create that ebook and see how many customers and prospects you can catch! You'll be amazed!

"Why Write An eBook?"

It's not true that everything that has been said has already been written. Since that unfortunate axiom came into use, the whole universe has changed. Technology has changed, ideas have changed, and the mindsets of entire nations have changed.

The fact is that this is the perfect time to write an ebook. What the publishing industry needs are people who can tap into the world as it is today - innovative thinkers who can make the leap into the new millennium and figure out how to solve old problems in a new way. Ebooks are a new and powerful tool for original thinkers with fresh ideas to disseminate information to the millions of people who are struggling to figure out how to do a plethora of different things.

Let's say you already have a brilliant idea, and the knowledge to back it up that will enable you to write an exceptional ebook. You may be sitting at your computer staring at a blank screen wondering, "Why? Why should I go through all the trouble of writing my ebook when it's so impossible to get anything published these days?"

Well, let me assure you that publishing an ebook is entirely different than publishing a book in print. Let's look at the specifics of how the print and cyber publishing industry differ, and the many reasons why you should take the plunge and get your fingers tapping across those keyboards!

Submitting a print book to conventional publishing houses or to agents is similar to wearing a hair shirt 24/7. No matter how good your book actually is, or how many critique services and mentor writers have told you that "you've got what it takes," your submitted manuscript keeps coming back to you as if it is a boomerang instead of a valuable mine of information.

Perhaps, in desperation, you've checked out self-publishing and found out just how expensive of an a venture it can be. Most "vanity presses" require minimal print runs of at least 500 copies, and even that amount will cost you thousands of dollars. Some presses' minimal run starts at 1,000 to 2,000 copies. And that's just for the printing and binding. Add in distribution, shipping, and promotional costs and -well, you do the math. Even if you wanted to go this route, you may not have that kind of money to risk.

Let's say you already have an Internet business with a quality website and a quality product. An ebook is one of the most powerful ways to promote your business while educating people with the knowledge you already possess as a business owner of a specific product or service.

For example, let's say that you've spent the last twenty-five years growing and training bonsai trees, and now you're ready to share your knowledge and experience. An ebook is the perfect way to reach the largest audience of bonsai enthusiasts.

Ebooks will not only promote your business - they will help you make a name for yourself and your company, and establish you as an expert in your field. You may even find that you have enough to say to warrant a series of ebooks. Specific businesses are complicated and often require the different aspects to be divided in order for the reader to get the full story.

Perhaps your goals are more finely tuned in terms of the ebook scene. You may want to build a whole business around writing and publishing ebooks. Essentially, you want to start an e-business. You are thinking of setting up a website to promote and market your ebooks. Maybe you're even thinking of producing an ezine.

One of the most prevalent reasons people read ebooks is to find information about how to turn their Internet businesses into a profit-making machine. And, these people are looking to the writers of ebooks to provide them with new ideas and strategies, because writers of ebooks are usually people who understand the new cyberspace world we now live in.

Ebook writers are experts in Internet marketing campaigns and the strategies of promoting and distributing ebooks. The cyberspace community needs its ebooks to be successful so that more and more ebooks will be written.

You may want to create affiliate programs that will also market your ebook. Affiliates can be people or businesses worldwide that will all be working to sell your ebooks. Think about this? Do you see a formula for success here?

Figure out what your subject matter is, and then narrow it down. Your goal is to aim for specificity. Research what's out there already, and try to find a void that your ebook might fill. What about an ebook about a wedding cake business? Or an ebook about caring for elderly pets? How about the fine points of collecting ancient pottery?

You don't have to have three masters degrees to write about your subject. People need advice that is easy to read and easily understood. Parents need advice for dealing with their teenagers. College students need to learn good study skills - quickly. The possibilities are endless.

After you've written your ebook, getting your ebook out is going to be your focus, once you've finished writing it, just as it is with printbooks. People will hesitate to buy any book from an author they've never heard of. Wouldn't you?

The answer is simple: Give it away! You will see profits in the form of promoting your own business and getting your name out. You will find affiliates who will ask you to place their links within your ebook, and these affiliates will in turn go out and make your name known. Almost every single famous ebook author has started out this way.

Another powerful tool to attract people to your ebook is to make it interactive. Invent something for them to do within the book rather than just producing pages that contain static text. Let your readers fill out questionnaires, forms, even crossword puzzles geared to testing their knowledge on a particular subject. Have your readers hit a link that will allow them to recommend your book to their friends and associates. Or, include an actual order form so at the end of their reading journey, they can eagerly buy your product.

When people interact with books, they become a part of the world of that book. The fact is just as true for books in print as it is for ebooks.

That's why ebooks are so essential. Not only do they provide a forum for people to learn and make sense of their own thoughts, but they can also serve to promote your business at the same time.

“Creative & Profitable WaysTo Use Autoreponders”

An interested visitor who has been strolling through your site, or reading your email messages, has finally come to just what she is looking for and is about to make a purchase or enroll in your Network Marketing program. It's a sunny afternoon, and her cat, who happens to be sitting on the moss under the visitor's large fifty-year-old snow-rose bonsai tree, suddenly jumps down, and the priceless tree topples over.

In the blink of an eye, your visitor exits your site or your email offer, and your sale or your enrollment is dust ---unless you have had the foresight to utilize an autoresponder that has captured her email address. If you have installed an autoresponder, you can then follow-up with her, and in all probability, make the sale when the poor woman has finished repotting her precious bonsai.

Autoresponders are remarkable, versatile programs that do so much more than just automatically answer your email.

Below are a few ideas that will assist you in creatively and productively using your autoresponder to transform the casual visitor into a profitable customer or affiliate member.

Use your autoresponder to:

1. Publish a newsletter. Certain quality autoresponders will manage subscriptions and follow-up with interested prospects. Your newsletter can keep your visitors informed about your offer, while building your reputation as a credible expert in your particular business.

2. Publish a newsletter only for your team or affiliates. Inform them of current sales, or team information, that’s pertinent to your team and their business activities. Include tips, advice, and techniques that they can use to successfully go out and promote their business.

3. Write reviews. Cover books, software, music, e-books, movies, etc., and put each review in an autoresponder. Review your Network Marketing program and/or affiliate programs, using a link to your affiliate's page or your companies website in your autoresponder.

4. Distribute your articles. Writing and distributing targeted articles is a powerful tool to build your business credibility, bring traffic to your site, and increase your sales potential. If your articles contain valuable information, many editors will print what is known as a resource box for you. A resource box contains your bio and a brief description of your service or product. It can also contain your autoresponder address.

Let's say you've written fifty articles. Put them on separate autoresponder accounts and create a master list that contains the titles of each article, the autoresponder address, and a brief abstract. Then promote your master list. Additionally, include your publishing guidelines so your affiliates can add their articles to your list, increasing the number of writers who are represented in your article list.

5. Create mailing lists. Inform subscribers to your articles when you've written new ones that they may want to publish in their own newsletter or website.

6. Automate your sales process. Use an ad to insure repeated exposure of your message, which has been proven to effectively increase sales. In your ad, put your autoresponder address where a visitor will be exposed to numerous marketing materials. This multiplies the chances of converting visitors into customers or hot prospects.

For example, if you're selling a particular product or program, put testimonials about how spectacular it is on your autoresponder, and add a detailed, enticing description of your product or program.

7. Distribute advertising. Let's say you sell advertising on your website or in your newsletter or e-zine. Set your autoresponder to send the information about rates and how to place an ad automatically to all prospects' email addresses. Then have your autoresponder follow-up. It can also send notification of any special deals you are currently offering.

8. Distribute an email course. Each day, have your autoresponder send out another lesson. Just be sure that each lesson has quality content - not a sales pitch. Your content will do the selling for you, and will do it much more effectively.

You can include tips centered on a different topic for each lesson, illustrating how your product or program will benefit the reader. Include the tangible benefits the visitor will reap by purchasing your product or program. Make sure to include a paragraph or two at the end of each lesson enticing your prospect to consider making a purchase.

9. Automate a reminder about your service, product, or program, after a visitor has completed your course. This will increase the possibility of sales and enrollments from visitors who have taken your course but are dragging their feet about actually making a purchase. You can also use these reminders to promote new products or services, and the products and services of your affiliate or Network Marketing programs.

10. Distribute free reports. This gives your visitor an idea of the type of information you can provide and the quality of your product or service. Make sure these reports are not sales letters or you will more than likely lose a potential customer than gain a sale.

11. Create trivia quizzes on your site and place the answers in an autoresponder. Your visitor will then be motivated to request your autoresponder, and you will have a record of the visitors' email addresses who took your quiz. Or create a contest and have any visitors that enter send their responses to your autoresponder. Your autoresponder can be set-up to send them a confirmation of their entry.

12. Offer a trial version of your product or service. Give your prospects a sample of your ebook, course, software, membership, etc. People who are exposed to a little taste often end up wanting the whole pie. You can also capture their email addresses when you offer them a free trial from your website. Set up your autoresponder to give instructions on how to obtain their free trial, and then make sure to follow-up to try and close the sale.

13. Link to hidden pages on your autoresponder. For example, a hidden page could be your affiliate page that contains graphics, promotional articles, and text links that interested affiliates can make use of. Inform visitors that they may have free access to your affiliate page by simply requesting it through your autoresponder link. You will then gather a list of visitors who may be interested in becoming your affiliates.

14. Use an autoresponder on your order page. Post a request form for visitors to be notified of special offers or discounts in the future. This creates a very effective mailing list that contains the names of people who are already your customers.

15. Put your links page on your autoresponder. It should contain up to fifty links that would be of particular interest to your visitors. Make sure to add your own promotional copy at the top or bottom of this page.

Now that you have proof that autoresponders can be used creatively, see if you can come up with some more creative ideas of your own!

"Introduction to Autoresponders"

If you've reached the point of exhaustion trying to keep up with answering the mountain of emails that threatens to bury you alive every single day, you're ready to learn about autoresponders.

The bad news is that people expect prompt replies to their email inquiries. So, unless you can figure out how to work continual twenty-four hour shifts, or hire enough people to constantly monitor incoming emails (while they're eating up your revenue) you have a problem.

The good news is that an autoresponder is an inexpensive method of quickly responding to emails. What these programs do is automatically respond to incoming emails as soon as they are received.

Emails are essential to your business for many different reasons. Most importantly, if you have your own website, these invisible email voices give you their feedback about your website! Or, if you are marketing in the Network Marketing arena, email is an awesome way to reach thousands simultaneously and receiving inquiries concerning your offer.

However, if you spend all your working hours answering inquiring emails, how are you supposed to run your business? The answer is simple: use “autoresponders!” Autoresponders are programs that automatically respond to your emails without you so much as having to click your mouse button.

There are a number of good reasons why you need an autoresponder besides just answering your email.

For example, autoresponders can be used if you need a way to send information about your services, products, or offer, or if there are repeated questions asked across large numbers of emails. Maybe you want to offer your site visitors a special bonus of some kind, such as advice or relevant articles. All of this can be handled by an autoresponder.

Additionally, you can advertise your business and then build stable relationships with your customers by using autoresponders.

Autoresponder programs vary from software that runs with your email program to a specialized script that runs on your web hosting company's server. This kind of script may use a web page form or simply operate with your email account. This kind of script is programmed to send out a standardized message whenever an email is received. The message is sent to a particular script or email address.

Some autoresponders can do more than simply send out standardized messages. They can send out an unlimited number of follow-up messages sent at predetermined intervals. For example, you can set your autoresponder to send out a new message every day for as long a period as you desire.

There are numerous companies who offer autoresponders. Some are even free. But, free ones are usually limited as to the services they provide. If you have a website, your website hosting company may offer an autoresponder service. If not, there are numerous companies who offer this service for a small fee.

To personalize your autoresponder messages, you can attach a signature. Signatures in this case are much like business cards. You can include your name, website address, and all your contact numbers. It's a good idea to attach a signature to every email that is sent out. Keep the length of your signature between four to six lines of text.

Another specialized use of autoresponders is to create courses that you can then offer your site visitors and/or your readers, for free. You must choose a topic in which you are an expert and that precisely targets your potential customers.

Once you have carefully chosen your subject, divide it into a number of different sub-topics. Then offer your site visitor and/or your readers, a free 10 or 15 day course. Each day offer a different sub-topic. The first topic should always be a welcome message with an explanation as to what will follow. Your explanation should be enticing, getting the point across that you are offering for free, quality information that your target audience will find of great value.

With every lesson, include the number of the lesson, the topic title, and information about your offer. At the end, include a few blurbs about the next lesson to entice the subscriber to continue on. Make sure each topic is packed with essential and valuable information, and leaves the visitor lusting to know more. Otherwise, you may lose them in the very beginning.

Of course, you have to write your course before you can offer it. Once you have done this, and gone over the material carefully, employing a professional writer or editor if necessary, you must transfer your text to your autoresponder.

There are a number of free autoresponders you can use. Go on your favorite search engine and search for autoresponders and you will find a long list of free and paid autoresponder companies. Then sign-up for your chosen autoresponder. Once you do, you will receive instructions as to how to set it up and transfer your text.

Email is an excellent marketing tool. It is inexpensive and it is fast. Use it to advertise your business by choosing your email address carefully.

If you have your own website it should contain different email addresses for different contact requests. For example, use info@yourdomain.com for information requests, or sales@yourdomain.com for questions about sales. It's a good idea to set up one for the owner, such as president@yourdomain.com. This presents your business in a personal, approachable light and insures that direct contact is provided.

Autoresponders are an effective and powerful marketing tool, allowing you to make contact with thousands of potential customers. This is an invaluable asset considering how many potential customers you usually have contact with before you make an actual sale. Essentially, an autoresponder allows you to put a good portion of your marketing campaign on autopilot.

"'Katrina' - The Storms Of Storms"

Myself, like most of you, have been watching CNN, FOX News Network, and other stations, report on the deadly hurricane named "Katrina."

As I watch and see the pictures, and hear the stories of people dieing, families being seperated, and people having to leave everything behind; all their posessions, their homes, and the life they had created for themselves, my heart hangs heavy.

It is difficult for us, who have not been directly affected, to really understand fully this kind of devastation and displacement. But, we need to try.

Why!?! Because it is our fellow man...our brothers and sisters...our fellow Americans, who have been affected! We MUST care!

Take a look at the map located here:

http://mapper.cctechnol.com/floodmap.php

Follow the instructions for navigating within the map, and look at some of the depths, etc., and see if it doesn't open up your mind and heart as to what really happened in New Orleans. It opened up mine!

Also, if you feel the need and want to give to the relief effort please do so through the Red Cross and/or the Salvation Army. The links to these two organizations are in the right hand side bar of this site.

Remember: We are Americans...and all Americans MUST help each other.

Let's continue with our thoughts, actions, and prayers for our displaced brothers and sisters...our fellow Americans... that have been affected by this terrible, terrible, tragedy.

“In Network Marketing & Life - Dream BIG…Think BIG!”

In your dreams for success do you collect up dreams that are easily achieved, or do you “Dream BIG?” Are your dreams BIGGER than most would ever consider?

In Network Marketing and in life, you must create a plan that includes thoughts and dreams that are BIGGER than you are -- dreams that will s t r e t c h your mind in all possibilities.

All truly successful people understand the concept of dreaming BIG; of thinking BIG. And, because of this type of success thinking, you and I are reaping the benefits.

Just look at all the fantastic modern conveniences we have. Each was created by someone who had BIG dreams; who thought BIG.

Look at all the successful Network Marketers since the inception of our GREAT Profession. They are people who have had HUGE dreams and LOFTY goals.

What’s truly awesome about having HUGE dreams and LOFTY goals is that we are all capable of having them. What is something you would like to achieve in your life that most people think is impossible? What is something you would like to achieve in Network Marketing that most would consider impossible?

Think BIG, here! “Dream BIG!” Put these thoughts, dreams and goals, into a plan, and GO FOR IT!

Remember this: We are what we consistently think about. Like the proverb says, “As a man thinketh so is he.”

Yes! We are what we think about! It’s this philosophy that we must allow to take over our lives. It is the only way to true success in life and Network Marketing. “Are You Earning Your Leadership Status?”

Leadership is not something that you acquire. It is something you earn. It is not something that happens just once, either. It is an ongoing process.

Are you caring for the people in your organization, with a sense of urgency and importance? Do they KNOW you care about them?

Are you teaching your team the importance of being a good example…..by you being that example?

Are you focused on accomplishing your goals and your team’s goals…..each and every day?

Are you continually accepting total responsibility for all your thoughts and actions?

Are you treating your Network Marketing business as a BUSINESS.....and NOT as a hobby?

If you are tenacious at being successful in all these activities, you are earning your leadership status.....and your Ultimate Success is imminent.

"The History of Labor Day"

Labor Day: How it Came About; What it Means

"Labor Day differs in every essential way from the other holidays of the year in any country," said Samuel Gompers, founder and longtime president of the American Federation of Labor. "All other holidays are in a more or less degree connected with conflicts and battles of man's prowess over man, of strife and discord for greed and power, of glories achieved by one nation over another. Labor Day...is devoted to no man, living or dead, to no sect, race, or nation."

Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.

Founder of Labor Day

More than 100 years after the first Labor Day observance, there is still some doubt as to who first proposed the holiday for workers.

Some records show that Peter J. McGuire, general secretary of the Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners and a cofounder of the American Federation of Labor, was first in suggesting a day to honor those "who from rude nature have delved and carved all the grandeur we behold." But Peter McGuire's place in Labor Day history has not gone unchallenged. Many believe that Matthew Maguire, a machinist, not Peter McGuire, founded the holiday.

Recent research seems to support the contention that Matthew Maguire, later the secretary of Local 344 of the International Association of Machinists in Paterson, N.J., proposed the holiday in 1882 while serving as secretary of the Central Labor Union in New York. What is clear is that the Central Labor Union adopted a Labor Day proposal and appointed a committee to plan a demonstration and picnic.

The First Labor Day

The first Labor Day holiday was celebrated on Tuesday, September 5, 1882, in New York City, in accordance with the plans of the Central Labor Union. The Central Labor Union held its second Labor Day holiday just a year later, on September 5, 1883.

In 1884 the first Monday in September was selected as the holiday, as originally proposed, and the Central Labor Union urged similar organizations in other cities to follow the example of New York and celebrate a "workingmen's holiday" on that date. The idea spread with the growth of labor organizations, and in 1885 Labor Day was celebrated in many industrial centers of the country.

Labor Day Legislation

Through the years the nation gave increasing emphasis to Labor Day. The first governmental recognition came through municipal ordinances passed during 1885 and 1886. From them developed the movement to secure state legislation. The first state bill was introduced into the New York legislature, but the first to become law was passed by Oregon on February 21, 1887.

During the year four more states — Colorado, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York — created the Labor Day holiday by legislative enactment. By the end of the decade Connecticut, Nebraska, and Pennsylvania had followed suit. By 1894, 23 other states had adopted the holiday in honor of workers, and on June 28 of that year, Congress passed an act making the first Monday in September of each year a legal holiday in the District of Columbia and the territories.

A Nationwide Holiday

The form that the observance and celebration of Labor Day should take were outlined in the first proposal of the holiday — a street parade to exhibit to the public "the strength and esprit de corps of the trade and labor organizations" of the community, followed by a festival for the recreation and amusement of the workers and their families. This became the pattern for the celebrations of Labor Day. Speeches by prominent men and women were introduced later, as more emphasis was placed upon the economic and civic significance of the holiday.

Still later, by a resolution of the American Federation of Labor convention of 1909, the Sunday preceding Labor Day was adopted as Labor Sunday and dedicated to the spiritual and educational aspects of the labor movement.

The character of the Labor Day celebration has undergone a change in recent years, especially in large industrial centers where mass displays and huge parades have proved a problem. This change, however, is more a shift in emphasis and medium of expression. Labor Day addresses by leading union officials, industrialists, educators, clerics and government officials are given wide coverage in newspapers, radio, and television.

The vital force of labor added materially to the highest standard of living and the greatest production the world has ever known and has brought us closer to the realization of our traditional ideals of economic and political democracy. It is appropriate, therefore, that the nation pay tribute on Labor Day to the creator of so much of the nation's strength, freedom, and leadership — the American worker.

"Americans MUST Assist Each Other!"

Folks -

Americans Must Assist Each Other!

We are all very blessed to be living in the GREAT United States of America, despite the devastation in the southern part of this AWESOME Country.

As Americans and fellow Champions around the world we must pull together and help each other. Many people from other countries have stepped up to the plate and offered assistance. And, we thank them for that. It is WONDERFUL!

I, along with many of you, have friends in Louisiana (New Orleans), Mississippi, and Alabama who have lost everything. They didn't deserve this, but they do deserve our assistance NOW!

Here are three sites you can visit and be assured that your donations will make a difference in the broken lives of tens of thousands of Americans.

http://www.RedCross.org

http://www.FEMA.gov

http://www.salvationarmyusa.org/USNSAHome.htm

Folks, we, here in Texas, are seeing these evacuees first hand. These folks are in desperate need of all the support we can muster up to give them. So, please, please, dig in your pockets and make your donations so these people can be taken care in a very humane way.

They are incredible human beings who are lost in the realm of no more home, no more personal possessions, and no home to go back to. Many are missing family members. Many have lost family members and loved ones. It is an incredibly heart breaking situation. Try and put yourself in their situation.

I have talked with several evacuees and the stories they tell are just horrific.

So, please, find it in your hearts to do the right thing and pick the organization of your choice and make that donation.

This is a GREAT Opportunity to show what Champions you really are.

What a FANTASTIC way to be:
